Summer may be coming to a close, but we're not too bummed about it. Fall shopping season is upon us, and we're more than a little excited to get our hands on a pair of our favorite fall fashion staple -- boots!
Last year, the western-inspired ankle boot a la Isabel Marant reigned supreme, and while thetrend isn't going away, there's plenty more options to be had this year. To review, here's our little breakdown of the big boot trends to look for while you're out shopping for your newest pair:
Gold-plating: Gold accents on buckles, heels, and down the calves will elevate your boots to a new level of sophistication.
Leather harness straps: We love a good detail, and this year, we're seeing lots of boots with leather straps wrapped around them.
Flat riding boots: This classic style is having a bit of a resurgence this year. If you're looking to splurge on an investment boot, we suggest sticking with a clean and simple, tall and flat pair.
Moto boots: OK, while you probably won't catch us on the back of a motorcycle anytime soon, an edgy pair of biker boots is just what the doctor ordered to satisfy our steam punk obsession this fall.
